"Since his debut-appearance on GetDarker TV, March 2011, Followed by a recent guest-show on Rinse Fm, airplay on BBC Radio 1xtra and his "Dem A Talk" record selling out worldwide five days after official release, Compa has been blowing people away with his perpetually deep, dark and heavy Dubstep sound.Already gaining residency at the 'Just Skank' nights in ManchesFollowing his debut appearance on Get Darker TV in March 2011, Compa released his inaugural 12" single with one of Dubstep's foundation imprints Boka Records, along with his infamous bootleg of Mavado’s ‘Dem A Talk', and at the tender age of just 21, he signed to the institutional Dubstep record label Deep Medi Musik releasing his highly sought after dub plate 'Alpha' backed with 'Narabeh' in 2013.Flash-forward three years and now a well traveled DJ, Compa remains true to the roots of the genre, armed with a deep bag of dubplates as he remains one of the only remaining vinyl and dub plate DJs in the underground.Compa’s music has received acclaim from revered tastemakers such as BBC 6 Music's Mary Anne Hobbs and Gilles Peterson, BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra's Toddla T and MistaJam, Reggae and sound clash legend David Rodigan, US Dubstep Ambassador Joe Nice (Dub War, GourmetBeats), Chase and Status (Ram Records, Mercury) and of course Mala (Deep Medi, DMZ) amongst others. As of 2016, Compa returns to Deep Medi Musik to release the much lauded “Truth in Sound”, his most well-rounded body of work thus far. Featuring four tracks drawing on his many influences, all of which are sure to light a fire in the dance, punishing even the toughest of sound system.Followed sharply later the same year with a record which he describes as representing an evolution in his sound, Compa released his much lauded Dubstep-Grime-Trap hybrid "Take Control" featuring Fox on J:Kenzo's Artikal Music imprint.Compa's unrivalled rise in the ranks stands tall and is backed with an infinite arsenal of dubplates. This is a man who truly embodies the vinyl culture, sacrificing his appetite, by funding the custom pressing of his acetates. The time and dedication that this man puts into his productions, DJing and appearances is truly inspiring. On top of his already MASSIVE plate, Compa makes time to host his radio show every Wednesday 2-4pm on Sub.fm.Listening to Compa's music will take your mind through a history lesson on Dubstep as his sounds can be categorized with those of Mala, Loefah, and even early Skream. The greatest thing about his sounds is that they are as fresh and new as they are classic and timeless. Rather than just imitate the sounds of Dubsteps foundation, Compa has been able to build upon those foundations with the innovative and unique attributes in his music."
