Zero fucks given – some would argue that’s the mantra when it comes to the Cut Snake way of life. “It’s about enjoying the moment and having a great time,” explains Leigh “Sedz” Sedley. However, it’s worth noting that there are, in fact, a few fucks given when it comes to music. In the studio, Sedz channels his unabashed, fuck-all attitude into tracks like the sultry debut single “Face Down” and the lush vocal cut “Echo”. He’s coined an atmospheric and deep-leaning sound that’s not suited to one particular environment - as Sedz tells it, “you should be able to enjoy it everywhere.” Cut Snake grew up on the Gold Coast of Australia, surfing professionally and competing from the time he was 12. During this time, Sedz developed the hilarious banter and incredible dynamic that is still prevalent both in interviews and on stage. He got into dance music while touring world surf contests and quickly grew passionate about the underground scenes in the countries he visited. With plenty of time waiting for waves, he fine-tuned his productions from beachfront bungalows, giving his music a fresh vibe and energy that causes mayhem on the dancefloor.
