Tim Reaper is the hyperactive breakbeat technician and Jungle historian leading the genre's new wave. Crossover releases and link-ups in the last year - two 12"s for Lobster Theremin and one for Banoffee Pies, plus a remix EP for Special Request on Sherelle's Hooversound, take your pick - have brought Tim into focus for the wider electronic music community, but he has been in the trenches for over a decade pushing the Jungle scene forward. He is a prolific artist, having released eight records since the beginning of 2021 and more online sets than can be easily counted including his essential NTS residency and an entry for fabric's London Unlocked series b2b Sherelle.
In the studio, Tim channels the spirit of the original jungle sound 25 years ago with eyes forward, eschewing nostalgia for the roughneck futurism that has always defined the genre. His new label Future Retro embodies this mission and serves as an outpost for Tim and a growing family of like-minded artists.
