A man who needs no introduction, DJ Harvey’s career spans over more than three decades. Originally a drummer, his DJ career was ignited on a trip to NYC as he was inspired by the emerging hip-hop scene and thought that “cutting up” breaks was an extension of drumming itself. A true Renaissance man, Harvey was also a graffiti artist and member of the Tone Deaf Crew (later known as TONKA Hi Fi) that threw weekenders around Brighton, Cambridge, and London. By 1991, he was a full time DJ hosting his own night, “Moist,” at the Gardening Club in London where he would bring DJs in from NYC and around the US including Fracois K, Larry Levan, and Kenny Carpenter. 

In what has been nothing short of a stellar career since then (including an appearance as himself in the 2018 film Mission Impossible - Fallout), it is truly an honor to hand the keys to DJ Harvey as he takes over by presenting his “General Store” for his FLASH debut. Upon entering guests will find a funked out disco general store that will feature items and toys named after tracks from The Sound of Mercury Rising Vol.III. The Club level will be transformed into a SONIC DISCO featuring eclectic disco balls and dreamcatchers. Lastly, our Green Room will host a space theme also inspired by The Sound of Mercury Rising.

DJ Harvey:

DJ Harvey was called “the Keith Richards of dance music” by Rolling Stone Magazine as they named him one of 25 DJ's That Rule The Earth. Best put by the man himself, “You can't understand the blues until you've had your heart broken and you can't understand my music until you’ve had group sex on Ectacy.” Harvey tours the world at his own pace leaving plenty of time off for his other hobbies, surfing, collecting hi-fi, mantiques, vinyl and riding fast motorcycles.
