Flash-OFF returns Saturday December 7th with an extended affair and a lineup aimed to blend and blur the lines between genres, featuring 2 stages and an ambient chill space. Hosted by Flash, Ethereal District and FAFF Lounge

Joining us on this special night is the queen of house, Cassy, known for her contagious positivity and loving smile as well as her deep record collection. Launching Kwench Records in 2017, Cassy has since released close to 30 EP’s in a span of two years while simultaneously touring many of the world’s most-respected establiments on the regular.

Also joining us for a rare live performance is Perlon mainstay Thomas Melchior. With 20+ years under his belt and heavily supported by the likes of Daniel Bell, Luke Solomon, Ricardo Villalobos, Akufen, Richie Hawtin (the list goes on), Melchior’s live set was recently rated as a top five performance at this year’s Amsterdam Dance Event by RA.

Uruguay’s Nicolas Lutz, head of My Own Jupiter label and collective, takes us deep into his collector-status, twisted and tripped out record crate. Through lunar landscapes, Lutz’ sets can be a trainspotter’s heaven or hell for many.

MELCHIOR PRODUCTIONS LTD:

Born in Germany Thomas Melchior partly was raised in the USA, Spain and finally England. There in 1982 Thomas finished his high school years at the Waldorf school in Sussex. At school he also started his musical career as composer /singer and keyboarder before moving to London where he soon formed his first Jazzfunk five-piece band (Blipvert Bigtop). Releasing records on his own Label (Earworm) they performed in London warehouses, clubs and pubs.

“Nicolas Lutz has been influenced by his father's record collection”....Errr., NOT.. As much as I wouldn't like to discard one's childhood influences to forming one's artistic make up (that is not Nico's case anyway, hehe) I would still prefer to focus on other aspects which are equally, if not more important when talking about this specific artist.
