Resident Nights for Oakland + George K Bday ft. Denis Kaznacheev

Our hearts are broken for Oakland, its scene and those creators who are now gone. Although it is an immensely tragic loss, we can rest assured that the victims of the Ghostship Fire on December 2nd died doing what they loved best: dancing. In this same spirit, we will dance to the memories of those taken by this horrific accident. Loop's Raffi, DC House Grooves' Andy Grant and Mazi R do the honors in the club level. George K celebrates his birthday on the roof with special guest, Russian jock and Nervmusic co-founder Denis Kaznacheev. DJ Soul's Dusk returns to FlashBar with some soulful house sound courtesy himself and Pierre Reynolds.

Russian producer Denis Kaznacheev has received a healthy level of acclaim and attention as one half of Easy Changes, the ‘minimal techno’ duo who have amassed a sizable following since 2007 through releases on their own Nervmusic imprint and other well respected labels such as All Inn, Grow Vinyl, FoundSound, Sleep Is Commercial, Only 300 Family and Arma. The time has now come for to Denis to embark on a side project of music created solely by his own two hands. And a few machines. His pensive sounds weaves subtle grooves in amongst discordant synth blasts, electronic bleeps and whirrs, tripped-out FX and tinges of organic instrumentation to create a truly fascinating juxtaposition. The first output of his endeavour had seen the light of day, naturally, through Nervmusic in 2014. This year he began with a 12" record on a london/moscow's imprint Grow and Spanish Wrong State Recordings with a remixes from Daze Maxim and Kreon, then later he delivered a great sounding EP on a well known Minibar Music from Paris - before a collaborations with labelmates Laurine Frost as Syud yields an EP, with OL as The Beat Circle - later this year there will be a few more EP's to be released on Mayak with a remix from Romanian SIT (Cristi Cons and Vlad Caia), on arma label and plenty more to follow. In addition to releasing amazing music, Denis hones his skills playing vinyl records in Club Der Visionaere, Chalet, Kater Blau (Berlin), BLCK Market (New York), Outline Festival (Moscow), Opium Party (Italy) and many others.

Our mission is to provide access to these alternatives for those who have an interest in expanding their social horizons through electronic music. We aim to bring together individuals with various perspectives and backgrounds in different types of settings. Loop invites you to step out of your comfort zone and experience the next level shit.Loop was established by a group of young electronic music enthusiasts from Washington, DC. After traveling the world and further exploring their passion for underground music, they decided to promote this phenomenon to their friends back home. The first Loop party was hosted in College Park, MD in 2011 in an abandoned house where hundreds of people showed up to experience something new. At that time this type of gathering was unheard of in a college setting. These parties continued week to week becoming increasingly popular. Loop expanded its parties into warehouses, boats, and other unique spaces in Washington, DC and Baltimore, where a majority of the events currently take place.

One of the pioneers within the DC's house music scene, DJ Soul aka Phil has been in the nightclub scene starting as a dancer moving his way to Night club security/Management and now a Night club Promoter and House DJ for over 14 years now. Originally from Washington, DC as a single father, DJ Soul works the 9 to 5 grind to support himself and 3 sons. He always found time each week to follow his passion for house music, often working a 50 hour week then dancing supporting a House Party or spinning house a few Hours at night during the work week and on the weekends. His biggest influences include Keith Miller, Sam The Man Burns, MAW as well as alot of House DJ's Heads to many to mention. DJ Soul contributions to DCs house music scene are too numerous to list the all! One of the Main highlights include Providing parties at Larger Venue Hot spots so that up and coming DJ's can get there foot in the door and show off how good they are as well as provide a space so that House heads can hear good music and work up a good sweat. His dj residencies throughout Washington DC have included FIVE, State of the Union, Bar Nun,to name a select few. He has also has been a guest at a few Baltimore undergound House Parties as the Head liner as well as different Lounges to many to mention here in DC. House Music is in his Blood and will never Die...... as well as provide a space so that House heads can hear good music and work up a good sweat.
