Raised in the suburbs of Detroit and one of underground electronic music’s most iconic figures, Seth Troxler returns to Flash for a special off-site event. He has held residencies at renowned music institutions such as DC10 (Ibiza), fabric (London) Trouw (Amsterdam), and the late Output (NYC). After a special open to close set last September, Seth is ready to have us moving and grooving on the dance floor all over again. 

He will be joined by Turkish-Italian DJ and Producer Carlita. Currently residing in NYC, she mixes an ever-changing range of sounds and cultures during her sets. She’s prepared in the sense that she features Israeli pop to 90’s rock or Turkish Psychedelia to Cumbia, so no matter where you’re from, Carlita is bound to keep you dancing while she’s behind the decks. Since her successful Flash debut last Halloween, Carlita has released her hit single “Everybody” out on DJ Tennis’ Life & Death and launched her new party series “Senza Fine” in NYC, which featured Jimi Jules as its first guest.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS: 
 

Seth Troxler:

Seth Troxler is one of electronic music’s most instantly recognisable artists. He has carved out his own unique path as a cultural commentator, art curator, restaurateur and entrepreneur. Descended from a family of cowboys and Baptist preachers, Seth is part African-American, with a singular approach to viewing the world through the prism of contemporary music culture.

Born in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and raised in suburban Detroit, Seth learnt the art of DJing initially from his stepfather (then a college radio DJ) and later from working, at only 16, behind the counter in legendary Detroit record store ‘Melodies & Memories’. It wasn’t until Seth made the decision to explore new horizons in the mid-2000s, moving to Berlin fresh out of his teens (after debuting at Panorama Bar at just 18 years old), that his DJ career really took off.

Carlita:

Carlita is a Turkish DJ and producer from Istanbul. A classical musician and multi-instrumentalist (drums, cello, bass and electric guitar). Carlita experiments with a mix of live and electronic instruments in her productions, using different synths and samples from her different instruments and field recordings from her travels. With early influences ranging from Turkish Psychedelia to Rock ’n’ Roll, she combines an ever changing kaleidoscope of sounds and cultures into a driving electronic beat. Her diverse musical background ensures her sets are always full of surprises, as she expertly crafts a musical journey with each performance and develops her signature eclectic, worldly sound.
