Flash is happy to announce DC’s first The Soundgarden Showcase:

The Soundgarden epitomizes the eclectic spirit of their genre-bending record label, worldwide events, mix compilation series and bi-montly radio show, curated by Nick Warren. This event is the first of a series that will continue through 2022. 

The Soundgarden had its debut season in Ibiza in 2015, with headliners such as Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Guy J, Henry Saiz, Eelke Kleijn, Guy Mantzur, Omid 16B, and Jody Wisternoff.

Since then, The Soundgarden has continued their Ibiza residency with fresh and exciting pop-up outdoor events on the island. The latest being at Storytellers Cova Santa in August 2021.

The label also holds a sold-out showcase at Amsterdam Dance Event with Sudbeat every October, a Miami Music Week yacht party with Sudbeat, a Sonar OffWeek event in Barcelona and many other events around the world. In 2017 and 2018 The Soundgarden curated a stage at Rapture festivals in Miami, a collaboration that is set to continue.

Headlining the Club Level for the showcase is Goldcap, making his Flash debut. The LA-based DJ has frequented dance floors such as Do Not Sit on the Furniture in Miami, Papaya Playa Project in Tulum, Day Zero, SXM festival, and played legendary back-2-back sets with Sabo at Burning Man. Goldcap’s music has roots based in multiple genres with a vision to deliver an organic sound throughout his sets and productions in hopes of connecting people to the cultures and knowledge of music past, instruments, and spoken word. You will often hear him incorporating an eclectic array of samples in his sets.

Goldcap will be joined by Dastan, a US-based resident DJ for The Soundgarden label. Coming fresh off of shows in Miami, Mexico, New York, and Pennsylvania, Dastan will provide a global sound of progressive house and techno to the District.

Goldcap:

Goldcap's (Berge Sahakian) roots in music are based in an eclectic pool of genres since his earliest ages. Listening to everything from classic rock, traditional indian, orchestra, and reggae, to classical, metal, west-african, and middle-eastern styles of music. From youth, having picked up instruments like the electric/acoustic guitar, bass guitar, classical piano, and various different percussion instruments, it was only natural for him to incorporate an organic feel into his musical selections. Also being a fan of poetry, films, ambient sounds, traditional instruments, and the spoken word, you will often find him incorporating an eclectic array of samples into his sets.
