There aren’t many DJs that stir up more discussion than Reresh and his fellow Romanians, Rhadoo and Petre Inspirescu, who together form the [a:rpia:r] trio. In 2001, Raresh got the opportunity to play at Zebra, where he learned to mix on their Technics 1210s. Falling in love with records, he moved to Bucharest where in 2006 he played alongside Ricardo Villalobos. Not only did the Romanian native make a close friend, but he was introduced to the rest of the world after this momentous set.
The [a:rpia:r] boss, has amassed a major following thanks to his dubby, subtle and linear sound along with massive sets that feature filters, fader tricks and an occasional big breakdown. After a career over two decades, his discography only includes a handful of tracks, podcasts, and mix CDs. This is due in part to the [a:rpia:r] trio playing out tracks over long periods before releasing them in order to make sure that it works primarily for their ears and hearts, and then the dance floor. Flash welcomes Raresh, for a magical experience in DC.
