Hailing from Texas, Sara Landry’s roots offer a fresh perspective on the ever bolstering international techno scene, quickly rising through the ranks of the underground diaspora. Having been recently featured on Boiler Room’s ‘Hard Dance’ rostrum the self-appointed ‘high priestess of Ableton’ is rapidly rising as a key figurehead in the hard techno dynasty. In the studio, Sara is an irrefutable powerhouse. Her ability to create journeys through warped sound-design and distorted elements has become her signature, with releases topping Spotify’s ‘Techno Bunker’ as well as the Beatport charts. As a DJ, Sara is an explosive presence consistently delivering thunderous, hammering sets that have won the hearts of techno fanatics the world over. Her prolific ability behind the decks has caught the attention of leading Industrial & Electronic brands RAW, Possession, Boiler Room, DJ Mag, 6AM Group & more!

ABOUT THE ARTISTS:

Sara Landry:

At once immensely creative and wholly uncompromising, Sara is a self-taught producer, audio engineer, and DJ known for her dark, driving, and divinely feminine brand of industrial techno. Though only a few years into what is sure to be a long and storied career, Sara has quickly emerged as one of the most exciting new voices in techno, with her releases on Techno Germany, RAW, and Crisis of Man quickly attracting an ever-growing community of loyal fans and cementing her firmly on the radar of some of the industry’s most prominent tastemakers, including Possession, Perc, 999999999, I Hate Models, Amelie Lens, Nico Moreno, VTSS, SPFDJ, Shlømo, Cera Khin, DYEN, Adam Beyer, and more.

As a producer, Sara is an irrefutable powerhouse who delights in surprising her listeners, deftly pushing the envelope to craft  innovative sonic experiences that are, above all else, deliberate, witchy, and weird. Her productions have been streamed millions of times, are frequently featured on Spotify’s Techno Bunker, and her industrial remix of Cardi B’s WAP made quite an impact on the European rave scene.

Saad Ashraf:

In the suburbs of the DC area, dance music was far from being commonplace where Saad grew up. While many kids would have turned to alternative rock in their teenage years, Saad found solace in a love for underground dance music at a young age. With such a huge passion for this kind of music, Saad would decide to take on the route of becoming a DJ and producer himself, looking to prove to the world that dance music is not just for mindless hedonism and to prove that Desi people, like himself, could be artists too.

Stylistically, Saad mixes eclectically from a wide selection that gives love to both moody, emotional cuts to straight-up club stompers with a leftfield twist. With a myriad of influences, Saad bases his current inspiration in producers like DJ Seinfeld, Jacques Greene, and Mall Grab, looking to come up, not as a faceless selector, but as an artist and a figurehead in the scene. He's quickly emerging in the DC scene, being a recognizable face not only from delivering support to DJs like Boys Noize, Ross From Friends, and Baba Stiltz but for also founding and heading the local underground dance music collective, DMV Deep.
