Brooklyn native Mateo of Akumandra is joined by Meso Creso for a special collaboration of Sunday Love and Meso Creso. The Akumundra resident brews beautifully layered sets that take listeners to another planet with sounds from all corners of the world. Akumandra serves as a showcase for emerging multicultural electronic music talent. Since 2013, the collective which is based on a participative economy, has delivered vinyl and digital releases, as well as events in NYC, Mexico, Miami, and Instanbul.

 

Meso Creso is the perfect complement to Mateo as the trans cultural art collective pushes the limit on enlightenment and finding your inner groove. This edition of Sunday Love will include Tierra del Fuego, the Crepúsculo Sereno Project boss Anandroid, and finally v:shal kanwar who has appeared at electronica events from Chicago to New Delhi.

Mateo:

Based in Brooklyn, New York, Mateo has established himself as a passionately unique DJ in the electronic music scene. His deep rooted love and knowledge of jazz, ambient tones, and multi-cultural ethnic sounds are illuminated in each of his sets, which most recently have been performed exclusively at events held by Akumandra. Mateo's career as a DJ started thriving in 2012 when he became a resident DJ of Autobrennt. Since then, he has played in many noteworthy venues in New York alongside major global acts. Mateo's distinct sound leans toward midtempo and gracefully infuses melancholic and multicultural selections of deep house and tribal sounds with soulful vocals and instruments. He has solid plans for original production releases in the near future.
