Welcome back Sunday Lovers,

We look forward to joining forces with all of you on the dancefloor this coming Sunday, and every Sunday moving forward, for the 2021 Sunday Love Season Opener. We have been hard at work to bring you an exciting season filled with amazing musical guests, health + wellness sessions, a unique Love Bazaar, and other ways for us all to reconnect with each other on and off the dancefloor, after what has arguably been a very difficult year for us all.

2020 Season Pass holders: Please be on the lookout for an email to confirm the transfer of your 2020 Season Pass to 2021. A small number of Season passes are on sale now.

Joining us this Sunday from Italy, Tooker, formerly one half of international shapeshifting duo, KMLN (pronounced “Kameleon”), has been working very hard on music throughout the pandemic. KMLN keeps surprising and raising the bar with many chart-topping releases and features in major  publications such as Billboard, XLR8R, Dancing Astronaut, Ear Milk, Resident Advisor, Ibiza Voice and making it into Beatport’s own “must hear” charts repetitively.

Tooker recently released Nang'o EP on Acid Pauli and Nico Stojan’s Ouïe imprint. The 4-track EP features musical collaborations with artists he met on his travels through Africa, such as Labdi, as well as former KMLN member, Shawna, and two solo compositions. Encompassing live instruments and syncopation, Tooker’s organic sound brings unmatched energy to our opening ceremony.

Joining him will be DC talent Bamba for a deep, melodic celebration and v:shal kanwar. We can’t wait to see you on the dancefloor.

In the Burning Man dusts of 5 years gone by, a story of two wanderers with a history for cross-

pollinating the sounds of yesterday with the sounds of tomorrow found their moment. With a shared taste in gourmet percussion, deep and rare rhythms, and cosmic culture, what resulted was KMLN — one of the most time-bending and pulsating acts currently circulating the global deep-eclectic house dance movement.

KMLN (pronounced Kameleon) was formerly Shawna Hofmann and Christopher Tooker, electric future-shepherds with two very different backgrounds. While Chris was growing up in Italy devoting himself to learning the pantheon of musical genres, from jazz to psych rock, and becoming a multi instrumentalist with an obsession for poly rhythms, Shawna was absorbing the traditional sounds of global culture by attending the longest largest running music folk festival in the world in Winnipeg. Eventually they both found their ways to electronic music and years later forged a sound that brings all of their tastes into one feast. Now, Tooker (solo) spends his time in exotically tribal lands throughout the less travelled world finding the source of rare and authentic sounds which often make their way onto tracks they release on labels such as Sol Selectors and Touch Of Class. At events around the globe, from Symbiosis Gathering and Lightning in a Bottle in USA, Shambhala in Canada, Wonderfruit in Thailand, BPM in Mexico, Powerful in Turkey, to clubs such as Katerblau & Watergate in Berlin, The Brooklyn Mirage, Flash DC, Great Northern SF, Woomoon Ibiza, Grand Factory in Beirut. Whether at the peak of the night or bringing bodies back to earth at sunrise, their musical twist of world infused deep melodic shape-shifting house/tech/minimal electronica is focused on making us move.
